Kortrijk Xpo launches new trade event for the design sector: Design Nation

Kortrijk Xpo is launching a new trade event for the design sector: Design Nation. During its first edition on 19 and 20 October 2023 at Kortrijk Xpo, the event will present the design products and trends of tomorrow.

With leading design brands

Exhibition manager Hannelore Caenepeel explains: “At Design Nation, leading design brands present their innovations to a professional audience of buyers and decision-makers who are active in various areas of the project market. These include hotels, high-end restaurants and bars, offices, museums, cruise ships, public and other hospitality spaces, property developers, and so on… At the same time, we also invite furniture retail as a trade visitor. The product categories exhibited mainly include furniture, but on the sidelines also lighting, flooring, carpets, textiles, indoor windows and doors, sanitary ware and design elements in general.”

All-in surfaces

Above all, the new B2B event aims to be an efficient two-day event, where exhibitors can opt for one of three predefined all-in surface areas. In this respect, Kortrijk Xpo points out that particular efforts have been made to create an attractive overall scenography, allowing each exhibitor to present his design objects in a very individual way. This approach also illustrates that another successful Kortrijk Xpo trade event, Architect@Work, provided inspiration.

“The aim is for the professional visitor to explore a unique scenography that gradually reveals its secrets and continuously surprises. Atmosphere and experience are key in this new hotspot,” Hannelore Caenepeel continues. “We will also host seminars and workshops focusing on ‘Future Trends’. These will mainly include trend agencies.”

Invitation only

Design Nation operates an ‘invitation only’ policy for its visitors; it is strictly a professional, national audience. More information about Design Nation can be found on the website: www.design-nation.eu. You can also contact exhibition manager Hannelore Caenepeel via email: [email protected]
