Evolution Amsterdam: Countdown to the autumn edition of surface design show (7-9 September)

As one of the first in line, Evolution Amsterdam kicks off the fall season in the event world. Evolution Amsterdam is a surface design show and as a B2B event it brings together international designers who show their latest design collections to clients from all over the world. You can visit the Gashouder from 7 to 9 September.

The event takes place in De Gashouder on the grounds of the Westergasfabriek, just a few minutes away from the Central Station. This is a beautiful industrial environment with the atmosphere of old factory buildings. The Westergasfabriek site offers numerous facilities such as bars, restaurants, coffee and wine bars and even a hotel. The Gashouder has room for more than 100 design studios under one roof.

“It wasn’t easy to get everything organised in these chaotic times, but the result is that more studios are participating now than ever before,” testifies organiser Chris Verbeek. “What made it especially difficult was that the rules changed almost every month. So we had to put studios on a waiting list, with the result that we unfortunately had to disappoint some of them. But with 80 studios from 20 countries in the end, we present a nice international design company.”

“How it will run in practice? We will make it as easy as possible for the visitor, with as little fuss as possible. This means that everyone with a QR code, a vaccination certificate or a valid PCR test that is not older than 48 hours is welcome.”

Only professional visitors

Evolution is a B-2-B event and is therefore only open to professional visitors. However, students are also welcome. This is the first event in 2021 where designers and clients can meet face to face again.
